Application for Redevelopment Waiver
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a Redevelopment waiver. If granted, the waiver would allow the construction of this project to be governed by the rules and requirements of Baltimore City’s Ordinance 10-277. The applicant must provide stormwater management for the proposed project whether or not the waiver is granted.
Applicant: Baltimore City Department of Public Works – Bureau of Water and Wastewater - Surface Water Management Division – 3001 Druid Park Drive, Baltimore Maryland 21215
Project Descriptions: The project involves pavement removal including the concrete alleys and park sidewalks and macadam paving of the center lot. The limits of the project are the edges of the concrete alleys parallel to the bounding roads of W Lafayette Avenue to the north, W Lanvale to the south, N Mount to the west and N Gilmor to the east. The area will be converted to a turf grass and shrub planted area with drainage paths leading to a bioretention facility in the southeast corner. No new impervious area is proposed.
The Applicant is requesting a Redevelopment Waiver in accordance with Section 23-7(C)(3) of the City Code. The project meets the applicable requirements by reduction of impervious area of at least 50% of the site’s existing impervious area within the limits of disturbance.
