Application for Redevelopment Waiver
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver.

Project Description: | The project parcel is located in the northwest corner of The Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus, at 115 W University Parkway and has a total acreage of 100.31 acres. However, the total site area considered to be disturbed is 1.80 acres and the existing conditions consist of open space (grass), two service driveways and an asphalt service road with various trees surrounding the site. The project includes construction of a two-story 22,924 square foot early childcare facility with an outdoor play space, a 44-space parking lot, hardscaping, landscaping, and associated utilities. Additional site improvements include widening of existing curb cuts to improve two-way accessibility, stormwater management facilities that help meet quantity and quality management requirements. The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide water quality controls througha Contech StormFilter Vault, and infiltration trench under pervious paver to satisfy all requirements of this waiver for all of the 1.80 acres of this project.
