DPW Statement on Injured Contractor

Today, Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark issued the following statement regarding a contractor injured while working on the Druid Tank Project:

We are saddened to announce that a contractor was injured in an incident that occurred at DPW’s Druid Park Lake Underground Tank Project on February 17, 2020.  At this site, DPW is covering a considerable portion of Druid Lake and installing two underground water tanks.

The injured worker was transported to the Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured worker and his family, and the contractors and construction teams working on this project during this difficult time.
