BMORE Beautiful is now accepting applications for Care-A-Lot Program grants. Care-A-Lot is a BMORE Beautiful initiative that supports innovative community groups and organizations who want to clean, mow, maintain and beautify vacant lots in Baltimore City.

Care-A-Lot grants are awarded annually, through a comprehensive selection process. Grants are for Baltimore City 501(c)3 organizations that want to improve the appearance of their neighborhoods by cleaning, greening and transforming vacant properties for community use. Groups such as community-based organizations, non-profits, community associations and community development corporations are eligible to apply. Groups can receive grants for up to $5,500 to care for up to 25 lots during the grant period of May-October.

New this year, grants are also available for a Care-A-Lot Project Coordinator to oversee administrative management tasks such as submitting invoices and providing before and after photos of lots that are maintained as a result of this grant. A coordinator is optional and not required for the program.

Grant applications are due no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018.
