Sign Up for Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s Fall Cleanup
Friday Oct 9th, 2015
Baltimore City Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., encourages City residents to welcome the arrival of fall by sweeping their neighborhoods clean of trash, litter and leaves!
Baltimore City communities are invited to continue to sign up for Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s Fall Cleanup. The cleanup is Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Neighborhoods must call 311 to register. So far, more than 128 groups have registered for the Mayor’s Fall Cleanup.
“Let’s plan now to make the 2015 Fall Cleanup the best and biggest neighborhood cleanup of the year. I encourage neighborhoods to organize plenty of volunteers to come out to clean, rake, plant, sweep and paint,” said DPW Director Chow.
Registered communities can receive bags for trash and yard waste disposal. Cleanup participants must call 311 to register for these complimentary bags and for bagged trash removal.
Bagged trash will be removed from cleanup locations on Monday, October 26.
When communities call 311 to register for the Fall Cleanup, please be sure to ask how property owners can earn credits to reduce their Maryland Stormwater Fee.
