BALTIMORE, MD – This St. Patrick’s Day think of yellow as the new green! The Baltimore City Department of Public Works will be holding a special one day St. Patrick's Day sale on our popular yellow recycling bins.

The bright canary yellow 25-gallon recycling bins will be on sale at deeply discounted rates. On Saturday, March 14, 2015, Baltimore residents can purchase the bins for $7 (regularly $12). Smaller 18-gallon bins are on sale for $4 (regularly $5), and if available, lids for the large contains will be on sale for $3.
The bin sale will be located at the Southwest Citizens’ Convenience Center, 701 Reedbird Ave. from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Recycling benefits our environment and our city, and it is easy to do. So this St. Patrick’s Day don’t forget to recycle those celebratory beverage cans and bottles.
As a reminder, residents do not need city-issued recycling bins to recycle. Paper bags, cardboard or plastic boxes and trash cans, labeled “recycling,” are all acceptable containers. Please do not use plastic bags for recycling.

This year DPW is supporting citizens’ efforts to recycle by selling recycling bins at locations throughout the City.

Here’s a list of scheduled 2015 recycle bin sales:
