Residence and Business Affected by Today's Water Main Break on York Road

BALTIMORE, MD (November 1, 2012) – Public Works Director Alfred H. Foxx announced earlier today that at 1:00 p.m. a 16" water main break occurred at 4605 York Road. Currently York Road between 41st Street and Old Cold Spring Lane has been limited to one north bound lane on the south bound side to allow for two way traffic.
At this time 40 business and residences are without water; however The Department is working as quickly as possible to restore service to the area.
Crews continue to work on the unrelated water main break at the 1800 block of East Cold Spring Lane, which occurred earlier this morning.

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Khalil Zaied reminds residents that Friday, July 4, 2025, is Independence Day, a City holiday. As a result, all DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED in observance of the holiday. There will be no trash or recycling collections on Friday, July 4. Collections will resume on the makeup day, Saturday, July 5, 2025. Additionally, there will be no street sweeping due to the holiday closure.
