Baltimore’s Public Works Department Launches New Facebook Fan Page "Like" US on Facebook and Stay In the Know

While connecting with friends and family on Facebook, please be sure to “like” Baltimore City’s Department of Public Works’ NEW fan page.

“I am really excited about our new Facebook page,” said Director Alfred H. Foxx. “It’s another opportunity to communicate with the citizens that we serve; thus being more transparent, which is something this agency is utterly committed to.

The new page is an updated version of DPW’s former group page. With this new platform, visitors will receive the latest, up-to-date information on community cleanings and competitions; water and sewer projects or repairs; DPW’s upcoming programs and events; trash and recycling resources, and more. DPW Offices and Sanitation Yards Closed for Independence Day

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Khalil Zaied reminds residents that Friday, July 4, 2025, is Independence Day, a City holiday. As a result, all DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED in observance of the holiday. There will be no trash or recycling collections on Friday, July 4. Collections will resume on the makeup day, Saturday, July 5, 2025. Additionally, there will be no street sweeping due to the holiday closure.

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) today announced the release of its 2024 Water Quality Report, providing residents in Baltimore City and Baltimore County with important information about the quality of their drinking water.
